oh miss emma

emma watson's new earth friendly clothing line is almost ready to debut. titled "love from emma" and launched by peopletree, this all organic and fair trade line looks british prep school, meets hippie chic. i cannot wait. the 30-page catalog will be available any day.

until then i gathered some of my most favorite photos of pretty miss watson. she's always tickled me pink. every year emma has acted and dressed her age. beautifully. no hurry to hussy it up. she's grown into the prettiest of actresses. and i have a hunch she will continue this captivating path; not rushing the years ahead of her like so many others have done.

the road

only 241 pages, but what a punch packed. it's been over a year since my hands held those haunting pages, but i'm still unstrung by mr mccarthy's prose. a love story like none other i've ever read. a father. a son.

the film stayed sincere to my memory of the book. few ever do. i was a bit disappointed as i had hoped the director would have taken license with mccarthy's ridiculous(my opinion) ending. still didn't change my esteem for this read.

i loved the debate this story provoked. especially among those i adore , whose opinion i value highest. how fiercely we can disagree?!! fire in my belly, ears aflame.

have you read the road? have you seen the movie? thoughts? opinions? did you care for it? did it move you like it moved me? thoughts on the conclusion?

"a single man"

bated breath.

tom ford's directorial debut: "a single man."

julianne moore can send me into the fetal position without uttering a word. corpse blue, she still manages to outperform her peers. heard colin firth already took home best actor honors in venice. and sorry, if ginnifer goodwin doesn't make you, licking batter out of a bowl, happy; our friendship stops right here.

pre-screenng, i plan to steep in monsieur ford's black orchid till my pores bleed patchouli and vanilla. then i'll saran wrap his 1996 black matte jersey dress (after i hunt one down) over my sandalwood scented body, and pair his 2004 spring/summer palace rhinestone t-straps with said frock.junketing for the l.a.times, captain ford resolves his foray out of fashion and into film down to a simple midlife crisis. "midlife is when you get to the top of the ladder, only to realize you've had the ladder against the wrong wall."  he sees this film as a "personal reaction to the prevalent culture of more, of almost always thinking life will improve with a new job, or a new pair of shoes."i'm on pins and needles to take that small sabbatical from improving my life shoe shopping, and escape into this visual candy land.[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eafJ4jvf-sY]
