i’m still into dogs, still NOT into your dogma.

i’ve traded newport beach for santa barbara, but everything else is still the same: 

i’m still winning the husband game; he’s still ignorant to the fact that i’m the one who traded up.

sour cream, preferably consumed straight-from-the-tub, still ranks as my favorite food and i still can’t say no to a popped collar, a string of pearls, and a navy blue ticking stripe.

my daughter, sutton, no longer thinks i hung the moon, but rather that i exist solely to embarrass and humiliate her. she’s not wrong. she dazzles me daily with her pure heart, curious mind, and fiery spirit.

i still believe in the power of a ballgown skirt, that BLACKLIVESMATTER, and kindness is always the correct answer. 

i don’t always get it right, in fact, i get MOST things wrong, but i try my best to listen, learn and understand.
